Responsibilities Supports organization’s mission by striving for excellence in all aspects of their job with a focus on positive interpersonal relationship with colleagues up, down, and across the organization Assists in professional development of all Certified Medical Assistant staff; designs and executes training programs as needed Supervises assigned CMA’s in conjunction with the organization’s managerial and leadership practices Provides clinical oversight of the services provided by the Certified Medical Assistants across the organization through direct observation and formal competency assessment, in conjunction with the Nurse Manager Monitors task boxes, inboxes, scanning needs, prior authorizations, and other administrative tasks, in conjunction with Senior Certified Medical Assistants; deploys support and resources where needed to stay current with these tasks Assists with oversight of the environment of care, ensuring adherence to CHC infection control and safety policies and procedures; monitors employee performance in the same Adheres to the organization’s policy in regards to absenteeism and appearance Omission of specific duties does not exclude them from this position if the work is similar, related or a logical assignment for this position Qualifications High School diploma or GED Medical Assistant Certificate from an approved school with current national certification from an approved certifying body 2+ years of medical assistant experience preferred 1+ Supervisory experience required Experience in EKG and phlebotomy BLS certification Excellent verbal and written communication skills and interpersonal skills Valid New Jersey driver’s license Bilingual (English/Spanish/Haitian Creole) preferred Working Conditions/Physical Demand : Working indoors with telephone, copier, fax machine, computer, printer, centrifuge, electric exam table, glucometer, nebulizer, needles/syringes, oxygen equipment, scales, sphygmomanometer, stethoscope, thermometer, venipuncture equipment, wheelchair.
