The Manager, Global Mobility is a valuable member of the Talent team responsible for coordinating and facilitating the flow of immigration, relocations, and remote work initiatives for our firm’s growing U.S., Europe and Asia offices. This position is customer-service driven, and requires the candidate to independently respond to internal client inquiries. Additionally, the candidate must be able to work effectively in a fast-paced environment, possesses exceptional organization skills, and strong attention to detail and accuracy. The candidate should also be able to form and maintain effective internal client relationships. What You Will Do: Immigration Execute the firms’ U.S. immigration strategy by supporting partners, employees and candidates in conjunction with immigration counsel on day-to-day immigration needs. Partner with outside counsel to prepare visa filings Maintain public access files Review upcoming visa expirations and proactively identify next steps Escalate potential cases to Director, Benefits Proactively alert foreign national employees of updates regarding immigration changes and potential travel restrictions that could impact their US status Stay current with immigration related laws, policies and processes in all Goodwin geographies Proactively communicate changes in laws, policy and procedures and make recommendations to update Firm policies and process related to visas and I-9 documentation to relevant members of the Talent team Partner with Europe and Asia HR team to advise and support immigration partners, employees and their families. Mobility Build relationships as the trusted partner and primary point of contact on all aspects of a move (permanent relocations, assignments, business travelers, remote workers) Partner with internal teams to secure appropriate approvals and proactively communicate information to all appropriate stakeholders. Domestic Mobility Facilitate remote work arrangements in domestic jurisdictions where the firm does not conduct business. Evaluate requirements for U.S. Domestic moves and coordinate with appropriate teams prior to initiating a relocation for lawyer or GO Team member. Global Mobility Support the Global Rotation program by collaborating with the Practice Management and Goodwin Experience teams to ensure program success. Initiate and execute global relocations to support partners, employees and their families. Monitor compliance, cost mitigation, equity and policy adherence. Manage escalated issues through resolution. Proactively recommend enhancements to existing programs or build new programs, incorporating the latest industry best practices and trends. Develop and maintain dashboards to track status of all mobility and immigration cases Other duties and responsibilities as assigned Who You Are: Bachelor’s Degree in Human Resources, Business, or related field Global Mobility Specialist (GMS) designation a plus At least three to six years prior experience in Global Mobility Experience in a law firm or professional services environment preferred Excellent knowledge of Microsoft Office Experience using an HRIS system, preferably Workday Strong organization skills and excellent attention to detail Office environment with three-day in-office schedule.
