POSITION SUMMARY

Ainsworth delivers high quality casino systems for customers around the world. The Full Stack Developer reports to the systems engineering team and will participate in a team responsible for creating / maintaining frontend and backend systems used to connect and manage slot games in the C2, C3, HHR jurisdictions world wide. This is an entry level programming position with abilities to program front end and backend applications using C# and multiple database including SQL Server, PostGre, and Azure.

Recent graduates encouraged to apply. Local candidates in the Las Vegas area preferred. This position is 100% on premises.

MAIN RESPONSIBILITIES

This position will be responsible for the following primary functions:

• Work closely with the “Base” and “Server Based” teams to implement and maintain front end and backend systems that communicate/connect slot EGM’s for the C2, HHR, and C3 markets.
• Create and modify system software applications by applying fundamental computer science techniques.
• Create shareable libraries to improve effectiveness and efficiency for the software development groups.
• Participate in code validation and code reviews, perform unit tests, and other automated testing techniques.
• Document all aspects of written code.
• Evaluate risk associated with code changes and make informed decisions on what and when to make a change.

JOB REQUIREMENTS

Education/Experience

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or a related technical field.

Knowledge & Skills

This position will require:

• Foundational knowledge modern programming language including familiarity with object-oriented principles such as inheritance, encapsulation, and polymorphism.
• Understanding of interfaces, classes, and service-oriented architecture (SOA) concepts.
• Exposure to Entity Framework or similar Object-Relational Mapping (ORM) tools.
• Basic understanding of LINQ (Language Integrated Query) for working with collections and databases.
• Basic proficiency in SQL. Creating and modifying tables. Writing select statements and using indexes for performance.
• Familiarity with version control systems, preferably Git.
• Awareness of software development best practices, such as unit testing, debugging, and code reviews.
• Ability to work both independently and collaboratively as part of a team.

ADDITIONAL REQUIREMENTS

The successful candidate must be able to obtain and maintain gaming licenses for Nevada and/or other gaming jurisdictions.
